Textbook Assignment #2- Chapter 8

Chapter 8
While I was enrolled in my children’s literature class, I had learned a lot of valuable information about book awards/lists. I was ashamed at first to find that I knew little information about awards given to children’s books or that there are lists dedicated to shining light on books that are ideal for children.  Although it may be difficult for students to remember all of the awards and lists and descriptions of them, I could see myself doing mini-lessons on various awards and lists and showcasing various books that fall under each. The awards/lists that are given in the chapter showed books that would be beneficial for elementary, middle school/young adult readers.
